Wednesday Jan 08, 2025
In this episode, Nila and Adise reflect on their New Year celebrations spent with loved ones and how it reminded them the importance of prioritizing quality time with the people who truly matter. With everything going on in our day-to-day lives, it’s easy to forget that it’s up to us to create time for family and extended relationships. We often get so caught up in our responsibilities that we forget what really recharges us is being present with the people we care about. They also talk about their next big moves—whether it's law school or going back for master’s degrees—and how they feel a lot more prepared for it now. After spending time in the real world, gaining experience, and learning valuable lessons along the way, going back to school seems like a much clearer and achievable goal. In this episode, Nila and Adise dive into everything from the challenges of balancing life and school, to the realizations they've had about what really matters in the long run. Whether you’re thinking about your own next steps or just looking for a moment of reflection, we hope this conversation leaves you feeling inspired and ready for what’s next. Why Do Some Chapters Need To Close For Others To Open?
Tuesday Dec 24, 2024
Tuesday Dec 24, 2024
Sometimes, we really have to let certain chapters of our lives close in order to open new ones. And even if that chapter was amazing—maybe it was exactly what you needed at that time—there comes a point where it’s just... time. It’s like when you finish a book you loved so much, but you know it’s time to start a new one, even if you’re not ready to let go of the last one just yet. The thing is, new beginnings aren’t always about leaving something “bad” behind. They’re about moving toward something that’s going to serve you in a different, maybe even better, way. A chapter can be beautiful and meaningful, and still, its time can pass. What came before was exactly what you needed to grow or learn or feel, but now there’s something new on the horizon that’s going to bring you even more. And that's not just okay—it’s exciting. It’s kind of like outgrowing old clothes. You had that favorite jacket that fit perfectly, but now you’ve grown, or maybe your style has changed. Keeping it might hold some sentimental value, but that doesn’t mean you’re supposed to keep wearing it forever. There’s something fresh, something that fits better, waiting for you to try it on. Sometimes we have to trust that what’s coming next is just as beautiful, if not more, than what we’re leaving behind. And maybe, just maybe, it’s exactly what we need to keep moving forward. We love you all so, so much!

Why Is It Important To Not Internalize Everything?
Tuesday Dec 24, 2024
Tuesday Dec 24, 2024
Sometimes, we can get caught in the trap of overthinking and internalizing everything. It’s easy to feel like if we just think hard enough about a situation, we can solve it, fix it, or control it. But the truth is, that mindset can actually do more harm than good. When we try to make sense of everything or figure out every little detail, we end up making ourselves anxious, stressed, and emotionally drained. It's like trying to fix something that isn’t even broken, or wrestling with things we can’t change. Overthinking can keep us stuck in a loop, replaying situations in our minds or imagining every possible outcome. This kind of mental chatter can prevent us from being present in the moment and enjoying life. And sometimes, by overanalyzing or internalizing, we start to take on burdens that don’t even belong to us. Not everything needs to be figured out or solved right away, and not everything is within our control. It’s really important to give yourself permission to let things be. Sometimes, the best way to handle a situation is to simply step back, breathe, and trust that things will unfold as they’re meant to. Overthinking doesn’t make things clearer, it just adds weight to your shoulders. Learning to let go, to not internalize every problem, can free up emotional space and help you focus on what really matters—your well-being and peace of mind. We love you all so, so much!

Why Is It Important To Not Overly Explain Yourself To People?
Tuesday Dec 10, 2024
Tuesday Dec 10, 2024
Sometimes, we get caught up in explaining ourselves to everyone who has an opinion or a judgment about us. It can feel like you’re constantly trying to justify your actions, your choices, or your personality to people who may not even care to understand. The truth is, you’ll burn yourself out trying to make everyone see things your way. Not everyone deserves that level of effort or energy. When it comes down to it, the only times explaining yourself really matters are with the people who truly care about you—those who’ve earned the right to hear your side and who’ll take the time to understand. Even then, it's important to consider how and when you explain. Not everyone is in a place to listen, and not everyone will be receptive. You don’t owe anyone an explanation if they’re not open to hearing you. Protecting your peace and energy is so much more important than convincing people who’ve already made up their minds. At the end of the day, you have to realize that you can’t control how others perceive you, and trying to constantly explain yourself can be draining. Focus on the relationships that matter most, where there’s mutual respect, care, and a genuine desire to understand each other.

Should You Listen To Your Heart Or Your Mind?
Saturday Dec 07, 2024
Saturday Dec 07, 2024
When it comes to making decisions, we often find ourselves stuck between listening to our heart or our mind. It's like your heart is pushing you in one direction, while your mind is tugging you the other way. But which one should you listen to? Your mind is all about logic and reason. It analyzes, it processes, and it tries to protect you. It picks up on patterns—things you've learned, mistakes you've made, situations you've observed. So when you make decisions based on your mind, you're probably looking at all the angles, considering what could go wrong, and aiming to minimize risk. It’s cautious. It’s safe. Your heart, on the other hand, doesn't care about all of that. It just wants what it wants. It’s passionate, impulsive, driven by emotion and desire. Following your heart can feel exhilarating. It’s the thing that makes you feel alive, the voice that whispers “go for it” when everything else says “stop.” It’s the thing that makes you take chances, jump into the unknown, and sometimes even leap without looking. But here’s the thing: what if following your heart leads to pain? What if it pushes you into a situation where you end up hurt, disappointed, or stuck? It happens. Heart decisions can sometimes be risky, and not always in the “great adventure” kind of way. Still, when it does work out—when following your heart leads to something amazing—it feels incredible. There’s this rush, this sense of freedom and fulfillment that’s hard to match. The heart makes you feel connected to your true self, and sometimes, it’s exactly what you need to break free from doubt and find something beautiful. So, is it better to follow your heart or your mind? That’s the million-dollar question. Sometimes, your mind can be too cautious and hold you back from things that could be life-changing. Other times, following your heart without thinking things through can lead to regret. Maybe the answer isn’t about always choosing one over the other. It’s about knowing when to let your heart lead and when to let your mind take the wheel. The trick is finding balance. You need your mind to keep you grounded and safe, but your heart is what gives you the courage to leap. If you can tune into both, maybe that’s where the magic happens.

What If Delays Are Actually Blessings in Disguise?
Thursday Dec 05, 2024
Thursday Dec 05, 2024
Sometimes, when things don’t happen as quickly as we’d like or a project gets delayed, it can feel like we’re stuck or that something’s going wrong. But what if there’s actually a blessing in those delays? It’s like life’s way of telling us that things are unfolding exactly the way they’re meant to—just not on our timeline. Think about it: there’s often something we can’t see yet, a bigger picture that’s being carefully arranged behind the scenes. Maybe the timing isn’t right, or maybe there’s a lesson we need to learn before we move forward. Or perhaps, the delay is protecting us from something that wasn’t meant for us. There’s this idea of divine timing, that everything has its right moment—whether it’s in our personal lives, careers, or even relationships. When things slow down or don’t go according to plan, it’s easy to get frustrated, but that pause could be guiding us toward something better. Sometimes, all we need to do is trust that there’s a reason for the delay, even if we don’t understand it in the moment. In a way, these delays are like little nudges from the universe, reminding us to let go of control and have faith that things are happening in perfect timing. So, instead of seeing delays as setbacks, we can try to see them as redirections—small blessings in disguise, helping us grow and get closer to what we’re really meant to experience. We love you all so, so much!

During The Highs and Lows Of Life, How Will You Be Remembered?
Thursday Dec 05, 2024
Thursday Dec 05, 2024
Life has a way of sneaking up on you, doesn’t it? One moment, everything’s moving at a steady pace, and the next, it feels like it’s all flashing by. It’s strange how quickly time passes, and when you step back to think about it, you start to wonder—how do I want to be remembered? What kind of mark do I want to leave on the world, and, more importantly, on the people I care about? You know those moments when life feels almost surreal—when everything’s perfect and you can’t help but feel alive in a way you’ve never felt before? And then there are the times when it’s tough, when it feels like nothing’s going right, and the weight of everything seems too much to bear. In those highs and lows, it’s easy to get swept up by what’s happening around us. But when you realize how short life really is, it makes you pause and think: How do I want to show up in the world? Will I weather the storms, or will I let life dictate how I respond? Sometimes, life pushes us into tough spots. It forces us to make quick decisions or respond in ways we never imagined. We feel overwhelmed or, sometimes, disconnected from the person we want to be. But what’s amazing is that, in the blink of an eye, it can all change. Life could end without warning, or at least, without as much time as we expect to prepare. Does that realization make us strive to be better versions of ourselves? Or do we just coast, letting the moments slip by without thinking about the legacy we’re leaving? I guess, when we ask ourselves these questions, it’s really about balance. It’s about taking the time to be present, to make choices with intention, to show love, to take risks, and yes, to sometimes make mistakes. Because when it’s all said and done, what we really want is for the people around us to remember the way we made them feel, the way we inspired them, or maybe how we were there when they needed us most. So, how do you want to be remembered? Do you want your life to be a story of resilience, of someone who faced adversity and came out stronger? Or do you want to be known for the kindness you shared, or the joy you brought into the world? Life is short—way shorter than we realize sometimes. But that fleeting nature of it? That’s what makes it all the more precious. So, the real question is: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind while you still have time?

Do You Have a Vision For Your Life Yet?
Thursday Dec 05, 2024
Thursday Dec 05, 2024
Creating a vision for your life is all about finding clarity in the midst of life's ups and downs. We all face challenges—some we can control, and others we can’t. But what really matters is how we choose to respond to them. If you want to build the life you dream of, it starts with focus. You have to be clear about what you truly want and then take steps to make that vision a reality. The hard part? There’s a lot of noise along the way. Life throws distractions, doubts, and obstacles in your path. To stay on track, you need to actively eliminate what's standing in the way of your goals, whether that’s bad habits, toxic environments, or even negative thought patterns. It's about clearing the space to grow and become the best version of yourself. But here’s the thing—it’s not always an easy or linear process. Reaching your goals often takes constant reevaluation. There will be moments when you’ll have to adjust your strategy, rethink your approach, or shift your mindset. It might take time, and it will definitely take effort. But that’s how you move forward. You commit to applying yourself consistently, even when the road gets tough. So, creating a vision for your life isn’t just about wishing for something better—it’s about actively choosing to build the future you want, one step at a time. It’s about staying focused, staying intentional, and always working toward the best version of yourself. We love you all so much!
