Why Are We Quick To Judge Others?
Monday Jan 16, 2023
Monday Jan 16, 2023
What's Good Dimah Fam!
In this episode the TDP crew talk about predetermined judgements. "The more you judge others, the more you judge yourself. By constantly seeing the bad in others, we train our minds to find the bad. This can lead to increase in stress. Stress can weaken the immune system and cause high blood pressure, fatigue, depression, and anxiety." Judging is easy and doesn't require much thinking or reasoning. Our brains are wired to make automatic judgments about others' behaviors so that we can move through the world without spending much time or energy in understanding everything we see." That's why it's so important to give things a chance before casting judgement. We love you all so, so much. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!

Why Is Empathy Important?
Monday Jan 16, 2023
Monday Jan 16, 2023
What's Good Dimah Fam!
In this episode the TDP crew talk about empathy. Empathy is "the ability to understand another person's thoughts and feelings in a situation from their point of view, rather than your own. It differs from sympathy, where one is moved by the thoughts and feelings of another but maintains an emotional distance. Empathy is important because it helps us understand how others are feeling so we can respond appropriately to the situation. It is typically associated with social behavior and there is lots of research showing that greater empathy leads to more helping behavior." Remember to always put yourself in others shoes before casting judgement TDP Family. It's so important, you never know what's going on behind the scenes.

What's Good Dimah Fam!
In this episode the TDP crew recap the Tory Lanez Megan Thee Stallion verdict. According to the New York Times, "A Los Angeles jury on Friday found Daystar Peterson, the Canadian rapper better known as Tory Lanez, guilty of shooting a fellow artist, Megan Thee Stallion, in both of her feet following an argument about their romantic entanglements and respective careers in the summer of 2020. Mr. Lanez, 30, was convicted of three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces more than 20 years in prison and could be deported." It's either a very good day for women who have faced incredible amounts of scrutiny amidst domestic violence cases in the past, or one of the worst days in hip hop history if Tory was actually innocent. How Powerful Are Your Thoughts? (The World Within)
Sunday Dec 25, 2022
Sunday Dec 25, 2022
What's Good Dimah Fam!
In this episode the TDP crew talk about the power of your mind. "The mind is the most powerful computer in the world at the moment. That energy moving across the synapses of your neurons, has potent potential to revolutionize your life. A single thought can spark a flurry of activity. Thoughts, in and of themselves, have no power—it's only when we actively invest our attention into them that they begin to seem real. And when we engage with specific thoughts, we begin to feel the emotions that were triggered by these thoughts—we enter a new emotional state which then influences how we act." That's why it's so important to understand how the mind works, and make the necessary changes and or plan of action to ensure you're the one in control. We love you all so, so much!

What's Good Dimah Fam!
In this episode the TDP crew talk about feeling like you don't belong or fit in. "We have all been in this place at one time or another, making desperate attempts to please society and being frightened to snap out of it in case of it ruining the life you’ve built up. Trying to fit in doesn't make you a bad person it just makes you become another person in a masquerade ball, hiding your true self. Sometimes you have to find the people and areas where you're valued. Although it might seem exhausting, once you find those pockets of commonality you will find happiness. We love you all so much!
